Fresh off the back of Download Pilot, the UK’s heavy music fans are even more excited at the prospect of the return of live music. And though it’s not happening till 2022, Outbreak Fest is giving us VERY good reason to get hyped. It’s a special one – Outbreak’s tenth anniversary and its first time in new home Bowlers Exhibition Centre in Manchester – so the lineup is fittingly special.
The number of festival exclusives is staggering, and instantly renders Outbreak unmissable. The legendary Basement are playing Colourmeinkindness and I Wish I Could Stay Here at Outbreak as their only show WORLDWIDE in 2022, so expect one to remember. They join headliners Turnstile and Knocked Loose alongside Citizen, Fiddlehead, Year of the Knife, Youth of Today (all exclusive amongst many more… Outbreak, your tickets are officially gold dust). It’s hardcore excellence with a healthy side helping of intense catharsis, set to be much needed by then, and Outbreak have chosen the perfect gang to provide it.
Incidentally, if you happened to be at Download Pilot, you’ll know how stunning live a good deal of Outbreak’s lineup is. Loathe’s effortless crowd command and hypnotic wall of sound, Higher Power’s onslaught of punk power, Chubby and the Gang’s rowdy singalongs, and Static Dress’s nu-hardcore grit – all must-sees. Outbreak have pulled one of the best lineups you’re likely to see all year out of the bag, and promise more surprises in store yet, so don’t miss out on your chance to be there.
