To insight change, we must be heard. Protests have been taking place worldwide over the death of George Floyd, reminding governing forces that Black Lives Matter. Tonight FEVER 333 are refusing to be silenced, using their mighty sound as a force for change; at 11PM UK / 6PM ET / 3PM PT on their website, the Inglewood trio will be hosting a livestream in order to raise funds for Minnesota Freedom Fund and Black Lives Matter movement. This has been announced alongside the freely downloadable track Supremacy.
LONG LIVE THE INNOCENT will see FEVER 333 performing a full-production performance in order to raise awareness and donations for initiatives geared towards the liberation and well-being of Black and Brown communities. Speaking of the livestream, frontman Jason Aalon Butler said that is is a “concentrated effort to encourage people to go beyond awareness and take action”. Newly released track Supremacy also aims to raise awareness, Butler singing of being ‘born into a world where we’re dying to be free’. The track is lighter than a typical FEVER track, but deeply poignant, touching on racial hatred and class oppression.
FEVER have always been vocal about the injustices within society. They’re an absolute inspiration, and a glowing example of a band striving to leave the world in a better state than they found it in. Tune in to their show tonight and donate, and, if you can’t, make sure you sign some of the petitions we’ve popped down below. Long Live The Innocent.
