You may not have heard of Family Man before, but that’s about to change. Though we’ve only had a tease of their sound thus far, it’s clear that this dark duo are a force to be reckoned with. New single Wrapped in Magick is the latest addition to the Family Man puzzle, the third taste of the duo’s November debut – and it is certainly not a track to be missed out on. This is a haunting, gorgeously atmospheric release that is sure to send shivers down your spine.

The effects of this single are immediate: Wrapped in Magick is sinfully hypnotic. The layering of a gloomy bassline over sinister drums is irresistible – you can’t help but get sucked into the track’s gothic, brooding depths. All of this, paired with rich, mystifying vocals from Vincent Showbiz make for a stellar listening experience. The sophistication of the soundscape feels similar to that of Deftones – making it all-the-more impressive considering this is only the duo’s third single thus far.

Family Man are quite remarkable. They immediately feel classic, their sound unassuming yet masterfully unhinged. The duo are gloriously dark to the core, and we can’t wait to hear what else November debut The Dark has got in store for us.
